Objective of the Association

The primary purpose of the Perspective Danes Association is the promotion of Christian values in practical ways within disadvantaged communities without discrimination. The specific objectives are:

  1. Improving life in all aspects within disadvantaged communities.
  2. Educating members of these communities to understand their social roles.
  3. Sustaining and promoting Christian education.

Perspective Danes Association is a non-profit organization with administrative autonomy, operating without political involvement, and meets the standards of a charitable Christian mission. It is guided by Christian values in accordance with international treaties and Romanian law and constitution.

Working Method of the Association

The organization develops programs that address various community needs. Daneș is a village 9 km from Sighișoara, in the heart of Transylvania, with a population of approximately 5,000 people, including around 500 Roma community members, most of whom live in challenging conditions. Many do not have permanent jobs and earn money by sorting plastics, metals, and other recyclable products at the Sighișoara landfill.

A significant number of children from these families drop out of school early, with poverty being a major factor. Youth are often tempted by the notion of working abroad, particularly in developed European countries, leading some to engage in criminal activities.

Through our programs, we aim to support local institutions such as the City Hall, schools, and churches in raising the education level and promoting social responsibility among the Roma community. Additionally, Perspective Danes intends to continue providing spiritual, educational, and social support in the Sighișoara area through various short- and long-term projects.

Perspective Danes Association uses the following methods to achieve its goals:

  • Fundraising in the Netherlands and other countries through different partners and creating a local support network.
  • Developing a local team to offer programs and activities at our Community Center and in partnership with local schools and institutions.
  • Establishing long-term local and international partnerships to sustain the organization’s vision and work.

Fundraising Methods

The necessary financial resources are raised in various ways:

  • Soliciting donations from individuals and companies.
  • Engaging churches, schools, service clubs such as Rotary and Lions, associations, and individuals to support specific projects.
  • Co-financing projects with authorities.
  • Seeking other grants and contributions.
  • Developing a Charity Shop to redirect part of the profits to the organization.

Revenue spending

Savings will be kept in a bank account. The revenues will be allocated for expenses directly related to the purpose of the donation, as well as for costs associated with implementing our programs and meeting the organization’s needs. Additionally, revenues will be used for investments and maintenance of real estate, vehicles, and other assets.

Confidence in the Future

The Perspective Danes Association’s vision is long-term, focusing on the significant changes that occur when organizations consistently support their beneficiaries through various programs and activities. Our motto, “Investing in the present, changing the future,” motivates and inspires us to make a difference. Breaking the cycle of poverty and lack of education requires long-term support to see lasting change. To continue this work, resources are essential. Thus, the policy of the Perspective Danes Association aims to guarantee financial continuity for the future. Our achievements over the past ten years encourage us to look positively towards the future.

With God’s help, we will continue our good works with gratitude in the years to come!
