Elderly Support Program

Many seniors in Romania are left alone, struggling with low pensions, poor housing, and loneliness. They are among the country’s most vulnerable groups: nearly one in five elderly people experiences severe material and social deprivation.

A warm meal and a warm welcome

Two days a week we serve a hot meal to elderly people coming from very hard situations. With the help of the local Food Bank and other partners we regularly give them extra food items to take home.

Company and practical help

It is just as much about community. The group gathers for crafts, games, quality time, and encouragement, and we celebrate every birthday. Staff and volunteers visit regularly at home and help around the house: cleaning, chopping wood for the winter, cutting the grass.

Every year we also organize field trips and retreats, giving seniors new experiences and connections beyond their own four walls.
