In Romania, one in eight children from rural areas go to bed hungry and one in four drop out of school due to poverty.
In response to these needs, this program has been started to help 6 to 14 year old children from disadvantaged families to have a better chance to succeed in life. The program offers a hot meal, assistance with homework, and activities to develop life skills such as hygiene, working in a group, timekeeping, and respecting authority.
Additionally, the program includes recreational, leisure, social, and educational activities, as well as spiritual support and religious education.
Annual camps, field trips, home visits, and other activities are planned to create an environment where all children feel valued and encouraged.
